NEVER MIND because I happened to have found an even better alternative!
Slim Secrets, an Australian owned and run company produces a heap of low calorie and low carb supposedly naughty snacks.
I stumbled upon their WANTED! Less that 100 calorie gluten free bars in Coles at Warringah Mall. I was just looking for healthy food and found one tiny little space in the health food aisle that was holding just one flavour of these magnificent bars. I promptly bought just one and took it with me to work the next day to try it out. I had the cranberry, nut and choc bar and it was amazing!!
The same day I then went onto their website and promptly ordered a box of every flavour. The have Peach Perfection, Cranberry Choc and Nuts (which we already know is delicioso) Apple and Cinnamon and Vanilla Almond.
My massive box arrived the very next afternoon and I ripped the pack open to also find that the fabulous people over at Slim Secrets also threw in a few samples of their low calorie potato chips and a choc honey comb protein shake (which I gave to LP and he loved! He even asked me to order some more as he has been getting in to the bars as well!)
I emailed them and got talking to the founder of Slim Secrets, Sharon Thurin and she was lovely! Sharon is a weight loss coach and basically came up with the idea for the Slim Secrets range due to all of her clients having issues finding healthy snacks. With 3 grown kids Sharon understood the need for people with very busy life styles to be able to reach for something quick, healthy and filling. Sharon is also qualified lawyer and secondary teacher who has written a best selling first aid book for children and more recently worked with some top specialists in Australia to set up an anti-aging clinic. What a super women!
Slim Secrets has also been on the red carpet at the 2010 and 2008 Oscars! Celebrities rave about the product. With the likes are Tara Reid, Quinton Aaron (the lead guy in the movie The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock) and 90210's AnnaLynne McCord all loving the Slim Secrets range they are unstoppable! They even makes snacks for kids with their Supa Secrets range of chewy bars and chips. Perfect for the kids lunch boxes!
My current favorite is the Peach Perfection bar and I'm going to try the Vanilla and Almond bar this morning.
