Sunday arvo LP wanted to go and hit a bucket of balls at Narrabeen Putt Putt place. Off we went, me still in my dress which did pose a little issue when trying to hit some golf balls.
LP's Christmas pressie was also bought, a nice new shiny pair of golf shoes....
Well, he liked them :-)

To The Markets We Go
What is the perfect start to a Sunday morning? Get up kinda early and get yourself to the Frenches Forrest Markets near Skyline shops.
When I go here with LP it makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing. I think the main reason is that wayyyyy back in the day this is how people all did their shopping, Woolies and Coles didn't exist and people went to markets to get their weekly food and veggies.
We had the most fabulous egg and bacon roll whilst listening to this great singer, his guitar and harmonica.
We didn't buy much just a huge thing of cherries, some milk, an almond croissant for LP and some organic lamb sausages.
Do yourself a favour and go and check it out, will make you feel brilliant!! The markets are on every Sunday from about 8am.

A Very DLG Christmas
How lucky are we that today was glorious weather! After weeks and weeeeekkks of bloody rain, Huey pulls out a perla!
Today we had the very first DLG Family Christmas Lunch. 17 of us gathered at Manly Wine Bar for a beautiful lunch filled with champas, wine and Sangria! We ate like kings with everything from salt and pepper squid, mezza plates, beautiful steak and chips, gorgeous fish and salad and to top it off fresh strawberries with cream and a chocolate brownie!
Was so nice having everyone together as these days its a bit of a rarity. After we had stuffed ourselves with delish food and lots of booze we wondered off to the brand new and now upmarket Shark Bar...well actually it is now called the New Brighton Hotel. We sat up on the balcony in the sun drinking more sangria, shots and booze! There was even a game of Shithead played with mini cards but one Miss Rang decided that she had enough and promptly started cheating.
After a rather fabulous day I called it and took myself home, videos taken after I had left saw 3 DLG's get into some rather huge balls and jumps around in a water tank in the middle of Manly Corso.
Hilarious!
Thanks for a wonderful lunch ladies, special mention to Miss Mandy for organising and a Merry Christmas to all the ladies!
Hopefully the first of manly DLG Family Christmas lunches to come

Camilla Camilla
First off apologies for the week long break, I don't have the Internet at home!
Yes, yes I know.....
After the glorious pizza and pasta for lunch I finished work (finnnnaaallly) and took myself to Darlinghurst to fight the ladies at the Camilla Sale.
Wow...what a shitfight! There was kaftans, dresses and harem pants literally everywhere! Ladies pushing and shoving (then apologising for it) but it was crazy! So many bright colours and flowy beautiful dresses I almost lost my mind!
Luckily I kept my head long enough to walk out with 2 gorgeous kaftans.....I did have 3 in my hands and if I had bought three I would have been in trouble!
The two that I bought are amazing and I'm beyond excited to wear them!

LAST DAY OF WORK, 2011
Rather than entitle this as Wearing, it had to be changed due to the excitement and relief that I feel today. I woke up this morning and drrraaagggged myself to get ready as I was so tired but I can deal with anything today because come Monday I don't have to wake up at 5:30am and go alllll the way to Macquarie Park!
WOOOOHOOO!
To top all of that off, its Christmas next week and I get to hang with LP and my family, eat lots of great food and cake! Plus the Annual Christmas Day Surf Race at Freshie Surf Club with the George Rickard memorial necktie give away.
Next week is my time to tackle all of my Christmas shopping which will be a mission but one I have put myself in because I have not even started. Going out for pizza today with my team and I'm also excited about that but even better, there is a Camilla sale on in Darlinghurst today and after work that is where I'll be heading!
In the great words of the famous Winston Churchill...
I shall fight them in the door way, I shall fight them in the change rooms, I will fight at the cash register and for the on street parking, I will never surrender whilst there are Camilla bargains to be had....
Ha Ha :-)

Movie and Dinner
Date night last night sans LP again, met Yamini and her beautiful niece Natty at Macquarie Shopping Centre to go and see a movie. We decided on New Years Eve and it was really good! I will admit to crying it parts of it though...I'm sensitive what can I say?
I bought some movie popcorn for the first time in ages, it was so good! I had forgotten how good movie popcorn is! So salty and crunchy! The BEST!
We then went up to Inferno cafe and had dinner which was lovely. Y is off to Hong Kong in a few days time and will be there for NYE, she will shop up a storm I'm sure!

Wednesday was a good day! Soooo busy at work since 7am didn't have time to scratch! Also had a great doctors visit with my brain doctor who told me that I don't need to go back there........Ever! Unless something comes up I'm done! So beyond happy and excited about it. My family, LP and I are so happy.
It has been a long 7 year road to this place and sometimes its hard to see light at the end of the tunnel, but when you actually GET to the end of the tunnel and are standing in the light, make it all worthwhile.
Dedicated to my family and LP for all of their support, would be here without them.

Rule of a Lady
Sorry for the quick post today kids, busy AS! Will post more tomorrow. I cam across this fabulous quote and I mostly live my life by this.
Bad people = Bad vibes and unhappiness.

More Amour - Self Tanning Tricks!
Being a self confessed Fake Tan-Aholic I had to chat to Aime of Amour Make Up about what tan she uses and how she keeps herself looking fabulous even in Winter.
The Classy, Coy and Curious - Aime, what is your fake tan tips and which is your favourite to use?
Aime, Amour Make Up - Hi, my name is Aime Van Dyck and I’m a tanaholic!
From the time I was 15 years old it has been a great ambition of mine to obtain the perfect tan. Summer was dedicated to long days lying on the beach with a hat over my face – to protect my skin of course! For the few years following I continued to bake myself to the point where I was ridiculously brown. Oh how the times have changed and the freckles have faded! I still love to lie in the sun however the tanning oil has been replaced by 30+ sunscreen.
I remember getting my first spray tan 10 years ago. It was as though a whole new world had emerged with endless tanning possibilities. I became an advocate for slip, slop, slap and have never looked back. Why bake it when you can fake it?
I have tried and tested many fake tanning products, good and terribly bad. My number one favourite self tan is Ella Bache followed by St Tropez. I always wear disposable gloves when applying to avoid stained hands. Admittedly I have been rather lazy this year, only applying occasionally or getting a spray tan instead. A word of advice – if you find a fabulous spray tanner don’t ever let her go. I have had some shockers!
Remember, a bad fake tan is NOT better than being pale. Orange is never a good look so make sure you follow these steps to a bronzed, beautiful tan:
Exfoliate your skin with a gentle product and exfoliating glove to remove dead skin. This will ensure your tan is applied evenly and smoothly.
If you’re heading to get a spray tan remember to wear loose clothing and follow your tanner’s instructions regarding wash off time.
Don’t forget your face! I see so many girls that have had a spray tan and left their face white. The face will fade quicker due to cleansing and exfoliating so keep a tube of Ella Bache Face tanner in the cupboard to reapply every few days.
When you do shower keep the water luke warm, not hot as it will help the tan last longer.
Moisturise your body every time you step out of the shower until it is time to scrub the tan off.
When you do want to start again, soak in the tub to soften your skin and get it prepared to remove the tan. Get the exfoliating glove and scrub with some gentle product. I have a friend that has even used Jiff and Gumption to get rid of unwanted tan. DO NOT DO THIS!!! Your skin is very delicate and should be looked after very carefully!
One more tip – just because you’re feeling brown and beautiful this doesn’t mean you can forget the sunscreen. You will still burn and be exposed to harmful rays from the sun.
Good luck and safe tanning!

Busy day today, lost and LOTS to do but with only 3 days to go I feel like it will be allll ok. Nothing else really to report on other than next week will be Christmas shopping galore which will more than likely be a nightmare due to the crowds BUT I will be on holidays so I wont be mad :-)
Counting the days!

Made - Italian Meatballs and Spagetti
Monday night LP and I felt like meat balls. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I do admit to making some pretty fabulous meatballs. Its so easy, like little mini rissoles!
Bought - 500g lean beef mince, Eggs (you will only need 1 though and I forgot to put it in the picture) Italian mixed herbs, Pepper, Salt, Cobram Estate Garlic Oil, Tuscan Seasoning (Master Foods) 1 tin diced Italian tomatoes, Just Organic Basil & Garlic pasta sauce (from Aldi I think), Spaghetti and some bread crumbs (I used Crummies but only because I had to run to the shop to get them, usually I would just use the plain ones for like 99c at Woolies)
You will need a large pan to fit all of your meat balls in,some tongs and a large mixing bowl to mix your mince etc.
First thing is to get your 500g of mince into a bowl. Add your 1 egg, 3 tables spoons of Italian Herbs, a scattering of pepper and about 2 tsp of Tuscan Seasoning. Also here you will add about a handful of bread crumbs.
Make sure you have clean hands and then get them into that bowl and mix the mince, herbs, egg and bread crumbs well so they are all combined. If you find that your mixture is a little bit wet, just put a little more bread crumbs into the mixture to dry it up a little.
Grab yourself a plate and start to roll your meat balls! I like mine to be big but LP likes them small so we went with several small ones, probably about the diameter of a 20c piece.
Once you have rolled all of your mince its time to brown them, get your pic pan and put in a little garlic oil into the bottom of it and place all of your meatballs in. My pan is pretty massive so all of my meatballs fit...just but if you don't have one this big just use two. At this time also get your water boiling for your pasta, make sure you salt and oil the water. Once the water is boiled, pop your pasta in.
Once one side has browned you have the rather hard task of turning your meatballs over to the other side to brown as well. This can be tricky and fraught with oil spattering onto your skin which stings! Try and do it quickly, i use a fork and a pair of tongs.
After about 5-10 mins they should be brown on both sides. Pour in your tin of tomatoes and your jar of pasta sauce. Mix together so all of the meatballs are covered in sauce, turn the heat down slightly and let them simmer for about 15 minutes. The tomatoes will thicken up a little and if you have some bay leaves throw them in now, I didn't have any so we went without.
By this time your pasta should be ready, drain it and set aside into a few bowls for serving or if you like, add to a platter and spoon on your meatballs and sauce for a family feast!
Grate some fresh Parmesan onto the steaming pasta and EAT! so delish!

Monday morning rolls around and I wake up at 7am feeling brilliant. Its such a wonder what a good nights sleep can do for you. I wish I could sleep 12 hours every night!
The rain was absolutely bucketing down outside! Our pool is beyond over flowing and because we are in the middle of building a deck, the area around it looks like a dirt pit. Wait till I show you the before and after pics...you will be AMAZED!
Anyway, working in the Belrose office today was a great idea and it wasn't even mine!
Went to St Ives shopping Centre for lunch and for some reason thought it would be a great idea to get a backed potato?! Yes really.... what was I thinking? It was rather crap...

Bless LP
Holy balls....Sunday morning I was BEYOND exhausted like tired down to the booones tired. LP and I went down to have a very disappointing breaky at H!T cafe in Dee Why. I would tell you that their Vanilla thick shake is amazing but it really is hit and miss. Sometimes it is out of this world, nice and thick with extra ice cream but other times, its just a heap of milk, not thick and a squirt of vanilla.
I had menu envy as I got a bacon and egg muffin (which I didn't eat) and LP got scrambled eggs with a side of avocado and sour dour toast and I don't even LIKE scrambled eggs!
Anyway, spent the rest of the day cleaning our house which due to the rather large week I had was like a bomb had gone off. I hate mess and clutter and this was a joke so I dragged my tired ass around the house to clean it.

5pm rolled around and I threw myself into a shower, put on my PJ's and told LP I was going to bed. Bless his cotton socks, he put me to bed and proceeded to make Vietnamese Spring Rolls with rice paper, chicken, coriander, chilli, carrots etc and then woke me up to eat them at 7:30pm.
We watched a movie then he put me back to bed and I woke up the following morning at 7am! Thank god I was working at Belrose Monday because I slept for something like 12 hours! For me that is a miracle!
So as I said, Bless LP!
Hen Ahoy!
After rushing home from being a super side kick for Amour Make Up I had to get ready for my Bride, DP's Hens! After the months of preparing, booking, organising the day was finally here AND it wasn't raining!
That was a god send let me tell you! We were to meet the Hen and her friends and family at Diggers on the Park in Manly for pre drinks, barefoot bowls then a fabulous Thai banquet dinner at Wok Bar, Manly.
After some champagne (and some hot chips and wedges...which I MAY have eaten most of) to wet our whistles we were off and bowling! I was in team Pink and the Bride was in Team Silver...little to say that Pink won and Silver sucked. :-)
After some lovely sandwiches, LOTS more champagne and some lovely games we were off wondering down the hill like brown's cows to dinner at Wok Bar.
We had the most wonderful decorations by the bride's sister, B and DP's Dad made us some of the best cup cakes I have ever had AND my favourite Red Velvet...we spoilt!
This day also coincidental fell on DP's mother in laws birthday so we were sure to get some cake and sing Happy Birthday to her at dinner which she loved.
After dinner (because we hadn't had anywhere near the right amount of booze) we were off for cocktails at Insitu to end the rather large day.
Also a shout out to the ever lovely Annette T who I ran into on my way home, was had a quick catch up and she mentioned that she reads this blog so again, Thanks Annette! Sending you some blog love!
So much fun and most of all the bride had a ball, which is what it was all about!
Finished the night at around midnight and absolutely shattered fell into bed! It had been a BIG day!

Up and at em Saturday morning at 8am to help the fabulous Aime Van Dyck of Amour Make Up with a rather large bride and bridesmaid team. The girls had the whole of Tranquility Hair booked for them by Sam and Mel Sheppard the lovely owners of the salon complete with champagne, croissants and fresh strawberries!
Samy, Mel and their team cranked through the girls hair and it was so beautiful! Aime steamed through the girls make up and they looked glorious.
We were over and done with by about 1pm and I was off! Rushing home to get changed!
